About Kamaaina
Kamaaina means someone who belongs to a place. This is a marketplace for neighbors and their yards.
Why this exists
Local yards produce more than any one family can eat, while the same neighborhood pays grocery-store prices for produce that traveled far to get here.
The fix has existed forever: the roadside stand. Kamaaina gives it a bigger reach, from one yard to the next.
How it works
Someone posts what the yard grew: a price, a location, a photo. Neighbors browse by area, message the grower, and arrange pickup in chat. Money changes hands in person, however the two of you like.
Sellers get a stand page they can share anywhere, and followers hear when the next harvest goes up.
